Our Mission
YESS seeks to serve as a trusted resource for individuals experiencing grief after a significant loss and to provide comprehensive training for those who support them throughout the grieving process.

About Grief
Loss is an inevitable part of life, and grief is a natural component of healing. People experience grief for many reasons, including personal crises such as divorce, accidents, or job loss; sudden deaths from events like heart attack, suicide, or homicide; and chronic or terminal illnesses. Because each person’s grief experience is unique, many individuals struggle to cope and benefit from structured support.
Common emotional responses include sadness, anxiety, fear, guilt, anger, irritability, and depression, while physical symptoms may involve headaches, insomnia, fatigue, appetite changes, substance use, restlessness, and difficulty concentrating. These reactions can significantly affect daily functioning, and effective grief support helps reduce prolonged depression, emotional suppression, isolation, and other harmful patterns.
YESS serves as a trusted resource throughout the grieving process, offering compassionate support, practical tools, and tailored training that equip individuals and communities to understand grief, respond with care, and walk with confidence toward healing and hope.
